A total of 180 classroom hours of Board approved courses are required to receive the brokers’ license. ANNUAL TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE YIELDS HUNDREDES OF GIFTS FOR AREA CHILDREN

Smith Mountain Lake, VA (December 19, 2007) - The Willard Companies and its subsidiaries including Prudential Waterfront Properties, Smith Mountain Building Supply, Westlake Cinema and The Westlake, The Waterfront and The Water’s Edge Country Clubs, partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots organization for its fourth annual toy drive.

Over the course of a five-week campaign, employees, country club members, retail tenants and customers donated hundreds of new, unwrapped toys which will be distributed as Christmas gifts to needy children in the Smith Mountain Lake, Franklin County and Roanoke Valley communities. In addition, the following retail stores including VitaZen, Irresistible’s, Haywood’s Jewelers, Good Looks Salon, Cottage Gate, Provisions & RSVP, and Davidson’s participated in the toy drive. It’s humbling knowing that these generous contributions have enabled the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to help fulfill the Christmas dreams of our region’s neediest children.”

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to “collect new, unwrapped toys during November and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.” U.S. Marine Corps picked up the toys on Wednesday, December 19 and will distribute prior to the holidays.

It is sponsored by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS® and is specifically designed to help real estate professionals thrive in the competitive world of online real estate.” The program establishes the fundamentals of online competence, and is geared towards teaching about Internet business principles including options and requirements to get connected, e-mail communication and marketing practices, online marketing strategies and practices, and creating and maintaining personal technology plan of action.

Runk & Pratt And The Willard Companies Announce Plans For Smith Mountain Lake’s First Assisted Living and Retirement Facility

Smith Mountain Lake, Va., (March 30, 2007) Runk and Pratt will build an assisted living and retirement facility in the Westlake area of Smith Mountain Lake. Runk and Pratt have acquired property from Ron Willard of The Willard Companies to build the new Smith Mountain Lake Retirement Village located in the Westlake Towne Center.

“For the past two years, we have been working with Brian and Vickie Runk to establish and build a presence at Westlake Towne Center,” said Ron Willard, President of The Willard Companies. “Based on the ongoing growth in the area combined with Runk and Pratt’s reputation for providing superior services, we’ve concluded that the time is right to take another step and bring an assisted living facility at Smith Mountain Lake,” said Willard.

Nikki Poole Named Club Manager for Westlake Golf and Country Club
